Your first equipment plan
Check compatibility, compare worn equipment and build a practical upgrade list.
Quick reference
1. Choose the character you are planning for
Once your character is saved, sign in and select it in Viewing as. The upgrade finder uses your selected owned character and worn equipment for comparisons.
2. Start with a useful worn slot
Choose one equipment slot and the stats you value. Review class, race, level and other restrictions before adding an item to your plan. A higher score is a comparison aid, not a guarantee of a better result for every build.
3. Check how you will obtain it
Look at the public drop, merchant and tradeskill sources shown for a candidate. Use source and zone filters to narrow your plan. An item being listed does not guarantee that a particular encounter is available to you or that a merchant currently stocks it.
4. Save a short list
Save a few attainable goals for your selected character and revisit them after replacing equipment. Keep expensive or difficult goals separate from immediate needs. Staff can add specific starter equipment recommendations above.
